Edward and Margaret Davis are buried in Dallas County, Alabama or a nearby County to the South of Dallas in an unmarked or un-located graves. This memorial will be in memory of the Davis Family, until more valid information is located. At the John Oscar Davis reunion, MacArthur Davis indicates the cemetery may be in an adjacent county and the old homeplace was on the border of another county. Those counties would be Butler, Lowndes and Wilcox. Keep in mind, many Counties borders were adjusted and land ceded in the Alabama County Re-distribution ordered by the Federal Govt. in 1866 and 1867.
At the Davis Family Reunion 2016, it was stated that the Cemetery for Edward and Margaret Davis had an ornate wrought iron fence. This was said to be a very small grave site area. It was reported the fence and gate were stolen and the grave sites were eventually plowed. This was information passed down and/or rumored.
