Kathy passed away suddenly at St. Vincent's hospital.

She leaves her husband of 44 years, Jimmy (James) J. Rice Sr. a daughter Kimberly Etre and her husband Andrew of Worcester; daughter-in-law, Kellie A. Rice of Leominster; and the loves of her life, her four beautiful granddaughters, Sadie Etre, Caitlin and Jordan Rice and Sierra Bourke. A son, James J. Rice, Jr. predeceased her on July 14, of this year. Kathleen also leaves a brother James H. Bishop of Marthas Vineyard; a sister Gail M. Petrozzi of Worcester, and many loving nephews and nieces.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Hiram and Dorothy (Degalis) Bishop and graduated from South High School. Kathleen worked as a telephone programmer at Paul Revere Insurance Company for many years. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church and volunteered at Saint Vincent Hospital. Kathleen enjoyed reading and vacationing at Old Orchard Beach in Maine, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Kathleen's funeral will be held on Monday, October 6 from CALLAHAN~FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 11:00 am at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Sunday, October 5 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to St. Stephen's Church Restoration Fund, 16 Hamilton Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
