BUNCH, Jerry W. Jerry W. Bunch, age 58, of Fairfield Township, went to his home in Heaven on Sunday, March 30, 2008, surrounded by his family. His leaving came suddenly. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, on November 15, 1949, Jerry was the son of Paul R. and Pearl (Denny) Bunch. He received his education in the Hamilton City Schools. On March 19, 1969, Jerry volunteered to join the United States Marines serving in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in March of 1971 and he was extremely proud to be a Marine. On August 25, 1973, Jerry married Letha Jane Phillips in Hamilton, Ohio. This August would have been their 35th wedding anniversary. Jerry followed the Lord in Baptism on March 5, 1978. In March of 1979 their marriage union was blessed with a daughter, Ashlee Faith, whom he cherished. In March of 1973, Jerry was employed by American Materials now owned by Martin Marietta Materials. He was just recognized for his 35th year of employment at the Fairfield plant. Jerry was the Assistant Plant Manager. Many of his co-workers have expressed to his family what a great man he was to work with. Jerry loved the Fairfield team and considered them part of his family. He enjoyed hunting, cooking, reading and was a movie buff. He loved to cook and share whatever he prepared with his work family. Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He did many kind deeds for complete strangers, too many to tell in this short space. Most of all, Jerry was a hero to Letha and Ashlee, the perfect husband and father and Pappaw. He loved and considered his son-in-law, Kevin, as his own son. His grandson, Noah, stole his heart. Within the week his second grandson, Jerry Matthew, is due to be born. Jerry was a member of the NRA. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his wife Letha; daughter Ashlee and son-in-law Kevin Grayson; grandsons Noah Grayson and Jerry Matthew Grayson; sister Dolores Stacy; brother-in-law Kenneth Johnson; and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Jerry's parents and one sister, Barbara Ferris, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by our family dog of 17 years, "Puff". Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 1pm at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, with Pastors Tony Jacobs and Ron Medley of the Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Tuesday April 1, 2008 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.Webb-Noonan.com.
