"Big Mama " married my grandfather John Heilig/she was about his fourth and last wife, and she managed the Heilig Grocery store and Heilig Funeral Home. The name of the funeral home was also named Earle Undertaking Company. It was one of the first funeral homes providing undertaking services for blacks. Today it is named W.H. Johnson Funeral Home.
