Martin Aymon White, born October 15, 1930 and moved to his Heavenly Home on October 4, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evans White and Hattie King White; two brothers, Leslie White and Leon White; three sisters, Ernestine White Bryars, Leola White Alexander and Eunice White Long.

Martin is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sarah Simmons White; his daughter, Rhonda White; his son, Martin Duane White (Michele); his grandchildren, Magen White Taylor, Morgan Denee White and Chancellor Drew White and his great grandsons, Logan Taylor and Noah Taylor; his sister, Opal White Horn and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Martin loved his Lord, his wife, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, his home, his Pentecostal heritage, and was proud of his twenty years of service to his Country in the United States Navy.

Martin was a deacon in Dyas Assembly of God Church though he called Pleasant Plains Pentecostal Church his home church. Martin played the guitar and sang, and wrote several gospel songs.

In his younger years Martin loved to hunt, fish and trawl for shrimp.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Sister Thursia Long and Reverend Lewis Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Bryars - McGill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
