He was married to Frances Shirley Dooly and they had two daughters, Monterey F. Dooly Cason, of Southfield, MI, and Annie M. Dooly Taylor of Clayton. He was the brother of James Maxwell Dooly, John Henry Dooly, Mary Elizabeth Dooly Dover, and Adeline Dooly Dover.
He had two grandsons, Ray Cason of Michigan, and Duncan Taylor of Clayton; two granddaughters, Carolyn Pankow of Traverse City, MI, and Doris Woodall of Alexandria, VA.
He is buried in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery, Hollywood, GA.
