A shadow of deepest gloom was cast over the household of Fred Baugniet last Tuesday eve, when they received a message from Antigo, informing them of the death of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Belle Woodcock, which took place that same night. Death was due to heart failure. Mrs. Woodcock was born and raised on the old homestead in that part of the town known as French Settlement. She would have been twenty-four years of age had she lived until next May. She graduated from the M.C.T.T. school with the class of 1903 and taught school for three years previous to her marriage to Mr. Woodcock. The remains were brought here from Antigo last Friday morning and the funeral took place Saturday morning from the Catholic Church, Rev. Father St. Louis officiating, who a little more than one year ago pronounced the words that made her a happy bride. Besides her parents, brother and sisters, she leave a husband and an infant of three weeks to mourn her untimely death. The family have the sympathy of the community in their deep affliction. May she rest in peace.
