WATERBURY – Mrs. Elizabeth T. (Pierro) DiPaola, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020. She was the wife of the late John W. DiPaola.
Mrs. DiPaola was born on Oct. 3, 1926, in Steubenville, Ohio, daughter of the late Vito and Lucia (Pace) Pierro. Liz worked in accounting for Airpax for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Above all, Liz was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Liz is survived by her son, Lawrence V. DiPaola and his wife, Andrea, of Southington. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Logan DiPaola and Mia DiPaola of Southington, as well as several generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at 9 a.m. from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit with her family on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
