Herbert M. Abbott, Sr. 80 of New Castle went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. He served as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. He later retired from G. E. after 32 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his wife Ilona Abbott; son Herbie Abbott; daughter Suzanne Holth; son and daughter-in-law Sammy Abbott and wife Toni; daughter and son-in-law Lisa Martin and husband Joe; grandchildren Craig Abbott and fiancee' Vicky, Elizabeth Abbott and fiance' Charlie, Coleman Holth, Emily Boardwine, Kristen Abbott and fiance' Drew, Jacob Martin, Justin Martin, and Jodee Martin; great-grandchildren Sam and Cam Boardwine; special family Jack and Sue Bostic, David and Wes Bostic, Norman Holth, Brenna Rose, and Mandy and Sarah Lipps.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Brickey Cemetery with Pastor Loraine Taylor officiating.
