Kenneth A. Tripp, 75, of East Springfield, died Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Erie. He was born July 28, 1930 in Oneonta, N.Y., the only son of the late Alton Tripp and Phoebe J. McWherter Tripp Smock. He was raised and educated in Oneonta, N.Y., and Binghamton, N.Y. area. Upon graduating from high school he enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean conflict where he served aboard The USS Fargo. After his discharge he returned to the Erie area where he worked for Warner Coin Machines for 40 years, retiring in 1998. He was a life member of the VFW Post # 2341, Albion, the VFW Post # 4965 of Springfield, and a life member of Moose Lodge # 381 in Albion. He enjoyed watching his children and granchildren in all of their sporting events, and enjoyed being the camp cook for many years for family and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy R.Miller on September 24, 1998. They were married December 25, 1950 in Erie. He is survived by two daughters Sandy L. Dimon and her dear friend Mike Miller of Cranesville, and Kimberly J. Tripp and her husband Art Fiesler of Albion; one son, Kenneth A. "Bud" Tripp and his wife Rain, of East Springfield; ten grandchildren, Bradley, Bryan, Matt, Paige, Arthur and his fiance' Jamie, Jennifer and her husband Michael, Cassandra and Katie; and three great-grandchildren, Dawson, Collin, and Ethan.
