Jacob Crankshaw, 84, a civil War veteran, died at his home, 98 North School street, Saturday morning after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Crankshaw was born in Stratford and resided in Broadalbin until two months ago when he came to this city. He was a mason by trade. The survivors are his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Gates, and one sister, Mrs. John Cosselman of this city, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. David W. Reid, of Fremont Street church will officiate and burial made in Fern Dale cemetery.
