ARANSAS PASS - Mary Lucy Adams, 81, a resident of Aransas Pass, Texas since 1953, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006 in Rockport, Texas. She was born October 16, 1924 in Refugio, Texas to Rafael and Janie DeLaGarza. She retired from Gulf King in Aransas Pass after many years as the supervisor of the breading and packing department. She was a member of St. Mary's Star By The Sea Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Adie Adams Sr. in 1979 and her son, Adie Adams Jr. in 2001, her brother Joe DeLaGarza and her son, Benny Gonzales.

She is survived by her sons, Deamas J. Adams of Aransas Pass, Jerry L. Adams of New Orleans, Larry (Debra) Adams of Aransas Pass, James Earl (Tweety) DeLaGarza of Aransas Pass and David DeLaGarza of Houston; her daughter, Carmen (Doug) Sellers of San Antonio; her sister, Beatrice Nava of Victoria, her brothers, Rafael DeLaGarza Jr. and Candalario DeLaGarza, both of Victoria and Johnny DeLaGarza of Tivoli; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 12 noon at St. Mary's Star By The Sea Catholic Church with Father Mike Lenihan as celebrant. Interment will follow at Aransas Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockport, Texas.
