Oct. 24, 1938 - Nov. 29, 2010

Alson Allen "Butch" Abrams, Jr, 72, of Witoka passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at his home with his family by his side. Alson was born Oct. 24, 1938, in Terre Haute, Ind, to Alson and Selma (Isaac) Abrams, Sr. He came to Winona in 1954. Alson married Marilyn M. Horman on Dec. 13, 1958, at Ridgeway United Methodist Church. Marilyn preceded him in death June 12,2002.

He spent more than 40 years as an over-the-road driver for Lake Center Industries and received his Two Million Mile Award for perfect driving in 1990. He also was a courier for Merchants National Bank. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and mushroom hunting. He loved his Sunday and everyday rides and his dog "Tilley."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, and his father, Alson, Sr. Alson is survived by three children, Jeffery (Tina) Abrams of Witoka, Lynn (David) Abrams-Fournier of South Milwaukee, Wis, and Tim Abrams of Lewiston; mother, Selma Abrams of Winona; four grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, David Allen and Michael; brother, Don (D.D.) Abrams of White Bear Lake; two sisters, Lois Mae Snyder of Raleigh, N.C, and Patricia (Mike) Baures of Fountain City, Wis.; and nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Private family funeral services will be held at Martin-Myhre Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Witoka Cemetery.
