Successful and prosperous leather tanner (w/ brother-in-law Zadock Pratt) and NYC leather merchant, son of Wheeler Watson & Sarah Peckham he married wife Marcy in 1831. Son is noted as cenotaph. Both daughters are in this cemetery, Mary with her husband Evan Walker. See 14 Jun 1891 NYT for long obit. He lived on 5th Ave with summer retreat in NJ where he died.
