Warwick, RI — Lillian (Boyer) Medas, died on Saturday, October 4, in Warwick, after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Albert Medas and mother of the late Paul Medas. She was the daughter of the late Fannie (Enos) Boyer Wood and George Boyer and step-daughter of the late Russell Wood.
Lillian was a 1942 graduate of Taunton High School. She was a bookkeeper until her children were born and a homemaker thereafter. Mrs. Medas spent most of her adult life in Coventry. She loved meeting people, bird-watching while she had her sight, and attending musicals, and established a tradition of wearing colorful clothing for family funerals after the death of her son.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Fleury, of Warwick, granddaughter Mary Jeffers, husband, Curtis, and daughters, Larissa, Sarah, and Allison of Walker, MI; a niece, Donna Medas Patton, her husband, Max, and son, Jared Paul, of Exeter, and nephew, Scott Jacobs, of Raynham, MA.
Visitation will begin on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick, RI. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, in Coventry. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
