MADISON — Edward W. Brinkman, age 70, of Madison, died Wednesday, November 27, 1996 unexpectedly at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born April 1, 1926 in Madison, the son of William and Amelia (Johnson) Brinkman. He graduated from Madison East High School, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married the former Agnes Greenwood on August 23, 1947. He worked at Ohio Medical for ten years and for the Madison Board of Education for 30 years as a custodian, until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Agnes; his three children, Linda, Gary and Connie; five grandchildren; a brother, Robert Brinkman of Madison; four sisters, Jeanette Drews, Dorothy Beckwith and LaVonne Otto of Madison, and Alice Ballweg of Mazomanie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
