Judith Ann Graff, 67, of Connersville, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Rush Memorial Hospital, Rushville, Indiana. She had been a resident for the past two years at Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living Center in Rushville.
She was born September 23, 1943 in Connersville, one of seven children of Herbert O. and Alice Hope Fields Graff. She was raised on the family farm in Harrisburg Township and attended the Harrisburg schools, graduating from Harrisburg High School. As a young adult, she moved to Indianapolis and for many years was employed as a waitress at the Jong Mei Chinese Restaurant. She later return to Connersville for residence and became a Certified Nurses Assistant for Heritage House of Connersville and then later was employed for CRF of Connersville.
A member of the Church of Connersville, she was also had been a longtime member of the Posey Township Home Economics Club. During her leisure she enjoyed flower gardening, reading and working on cross word puzzles. Judy’s life was characterized by her looking for opportunities to help and assist others. In death she did the same, as she had requested to become a tissue donor following her death so that the lives others could be improved.
Survivors include a brother, Kenneth J. Graff and wife, Betty of Connersville; a sister, Connie F. Reneau of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four nieces, including Michelle Sizemore and husband, Michael of Connersville; two nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends who knew her simply as Judy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Peggy Graff, Janice Graff and Janet Lum; and a brother, James Graff.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM Monday, April 18, 2011 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, with Reverend John Stewart officiating. Friends may call from 5 PM until the time of the service on Monday evening. Following cremation, a committal service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at Lick Creek Cemetery.
