Oliver Bowsher, b. June 18, 1827, d. Dec. 11, 1885. Md. Sarah Bowers. Oliver was born in Ross County, Ohio, and was nine years old when the party of settlers first arrived in Allen County in 1836. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and when the present structure was completed he removed the old church building to his farm. He was a man of home loving disposition. Sarah resides on the farm and in the home he built many years ago.
