Matthew Newell Jarman, age 62 of Palmyra, lost his battle with cancer on this day, October 10, 2014.
A private service will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Matthew was born on January 18, 1952 in Palmyra, the son of Clarence Newell Jarman and Martha Ann Nesbitt Jarman. He worked as a truck driver for Montgomery County Highway Department.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard; his father, Clarence, and his mother, Martha.
He is survived by his wife, Denise; his son Stephen of Granita City, IL; his daughters, Timi (Jeff) Converse of Granite City, IL and Denessa (Robert) Earye of Clarksville, TN; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Cecil Jarman of Dade City, FL and James Jarman of E. Alton, IL; sisters, Sheila Jarman Reed of Clarksville, TN and Teresa Jarman Day of Granite City, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
