BROWN ANSWERS CALL OF GRIM REAPER Well Known Confederate Veteran Died at Home of His Son, Dr. E. C. Brown Mr. Eben B. Brown, a well known Confederate veteran, died at the residence of his son. Dr. E. C. Brown, at 183 Capitol avenue, Sunday night at 9:39 o'clock.

His. son is a member, of the. firm of Brown A Allen, the well known druggists. Mr. Brown was in his 80th year, and had been in feeble health for many years.

For the pact month his condition had become quite serious, and his death was not unexpected. He was born -and reared in Washington county. He throughout the war, and' was a gallant officer. He participated in the seven day fight around Richmond. He is survived by his wife, who nursed him faithfully during his long illness, and was at the bedside when death came.

He also. leaves two sons. Dr. EL C. Brown, of Atlanta, and V.T. Brown, of Hapevllle, and the following daughters: Mrs J. M. Bloodworth. of Cincinnati; Mrs Clark Hunt. Mrs. Arthur Marbut, Mrs. J.

T. Hubbard and Mrs. Elisabetta. Brown of Atlanta, The funeral was. held at the residence, 183 Capitol avenue, Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, and the burial was in Oakland.
