[Cenotaph]. Stockbroker. He was the husband of Katherine Kelso and the father of artist Mary Cassatt. He was the mayor of the City of Allegheny, in Pennsylvania, in 1846. Allegheny is now the North Side of the City of Pittsburgh, Pa. He died in Paris, and was originally buried in Marly LePoi, France. His remains were removed to Mensil-Theribus, France, in 1896.
