Name spelled chrislip as a variation of Chrislip, on his Barbour Co., WV death (v_,p12/#70), is recorded as buried in Hall Church Cemetery, and resided in Elk District, ever since it was organized. It also gives his age as 88Y 11mo 13 days, b. PA *His daughter, Melissa's D/C records her father (Samuel Chrislip) as born in Germany: occupation as Farmer and Married. Because his D/C names his burial at Hall Church, I am adding him and his wife to this site vs the Elk City Cemetery, though they may be the same. On 19 May 1839, Harrison County, Virginia (then included what is now known as Barbour County), Samuel married Eleanor Jane Board, a daughter of Reuben and Nancy (Swearengen) Board.

THEIR OTHER CHILDREN (c/o census & WV Archives and SOME Anc. Public Family Trees, pref. w/docu.):
Melissa Eleanor (1840-1929)
Virginia Alcinda (1841-1903)
