Late of Palos Park, Passed away Tuesday March 21, 2006 in North Fort Myers, FL. Born in New Jersey formerly of Evergreen Park. Employed by Tootsie Roll Inc., of Chicago for 16 years. Retiring in 1994. Owned and operated Action Lawn Sprinkler Co. WWII USMC Veteran in the Pacific Theater 1943-46. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Marguerite (Bonk), 12 children, Christine Groen, Betty (Ron) Eilers, Lynne (Bob) Welcome, Cathy (Chris Athy), William (Laura), Donna Collins, Nancy (Tony) Rodarte, Diane (Dave) Aalders, Maribeth (Juan) Rodela, Jill (Kiel) Kavanagh, Bobbie Halminiak, Glenn (Nuala), 27 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Kind brother - in - law to 12. Always full of love, patience and guidance for all. The hardest working and strongest man we know. Avid golfer and snow bird at Six Lakes Country Club, North Fort Myers for the past 6 years. Former Member of Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society. President of St. Bernadette Bowling Association, usher for Our Lady of the Woods Parish and loyal White Sox fan. Funeral Saturday 9:00 am from Blake - Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn to Our Lady of the Woods Church, 10731 W. 131st, Orland Park, Mass 10:00 am. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation Friday 3 - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elks National Foundation, 2750 N. Lakeview Ave., Chicago, IL 60614.
