FORT ANN - Mrs. Bertha Campaney [sp] Steves, wife of Rollin Steves of RD 2, Needhamville, died Saturday evening at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Steves was born July 30, 1893. and had lived in this area the past 60 years. She was a member of the United Protestant Church of Fort Ann.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs, James McCrae; a son, Lionel; a brother, Martin Campaney [sp], and five grandchildren all of Fort Ann; and several cousins.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Fort Ann, by the Rev. Charles Kellerman, pastor of the United Protestant Church. Interment will be in Fort Ann Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
