Mrs. Olivia Wilson Parker Succumbs to Cerebral Hemorrhage at Residence of Her Son, J. H. Parker Jr.
Mrs. Olivia Wilson Parker, seventy-five years old, wife of James H. Parker of Colorado Springs, Colo., died at 8 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, J. H. Parker Jr., 2820 Frederick boulevard, following cerebral hemorrhage which she suffered yesterday afternoon. She had been failing in health for some time, but apparently was improved and had expected to start for her home today.
Mrs. Parker was born April 21, 1940, at St. Louis, where she spent the greater part of her life. In 1899 the family removed to to St. Joseph, and four years later Mr. and Mrs. Parker removed to Colorado Springs. Had Mrs. Parker lived until May 31 of this year, she and her husband would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Mrs. Parker was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Besides her husband Mrs. Parker is survived by her four children, J. H. Parker and Mrs. E. P. Tootle, St. Joseph; W. W. Parker, Kansas City, and Mrs. James (Olivia) F. Burns, Colorado Springs. Members of the family will start with the body for Colorado Springs this afternoon, where the funeral will be held Wednesday. The funeral party will occupy the official Grand Island car, Nemaha, and will comprise: J. H. Parker, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Parker, Mrs. Ella P. Tootle and daughter, Miss Katherine, Mrs. James F. Burns and daughter, Miss Olivia, and J. H. Parker Sr.
