The youth received emergency treatment at Dardanelle Hospital prior to transfer to St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock where he died about 10:00 p.m.
City Marshall Venus George said Berry was riding on a motorcycle behind Irbie Earls, 14 of Dardanelle which collided in the middle of the intersection with a car operated by Mrs. Eulis Sims, 33.
George said the motorcycle operated by Earls, eastbound on West St., ran a stop sign and struck the right front of the Sims car, northbound on North Fourth. Earls apparently was unhurt.
Berry was thrown from the motorcycle into a concrete post on the junior high school property. George said Earls was wearing a safety helmet but Berry was not.
The ambulance, escorted to Little Rock by George, was met at the city limits by units of the capital city's police department for escort to the hospital.
Berry is survived by two brothers, Skip and Bruce of the home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Floyd Berry of Russellville, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bachus of Branson, Mo.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cornwell Chapel by the Rev. Harold Saddler and Rev. Antone Uth.
