Carole Lee Shoup-Hamilton, age 72, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home at Carroll Lutheran Village.
Born October 12, 1942 in Wheaton, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Buren Eli and Ella Mae (Raynor) Smith.
She worked for many years as an analyst with Lockheed-Martin. She was an active resident at Carroll Lutheran Village and loved spending time with her family.
Surviving her are a son, Alan L. Shoup of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Nichole Shoup and Jara Greene; sisters, Joan Anderson of Rosemount, MN and Cheryl Haass of Anderson, S.C.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster with Rev. Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Colesville Cemetery in Silver Spring. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the chapel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
