Gladys Agnes Pickett

1923-2014

Gladys Agnes Pickett, 91, of Lakeview Manor and formerly of Corn Hill, passed away on September 1, 2014. Born in Goshen, NB, she was a daughter to the late Nathan and Idella (nee Teakles) DeMille.

Gladys was a member of the Riverglade Baptist Church, and a Dominion Life Member of the WMS in Corn Hill. She was a member of the Wednesday morning Ladies Bible Society in Corn Hill and was a volunteer at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home as well as the Jordan Lifecare Center.

Gladys is survived by her loving husband George Pickett; her daughters: Bethany (Randy Ward) Hunt, of Moncton and Penny (Bruce) Milbury of Lewis Mountain; her sons: Bill (Mary McKendy) Pickett of Riverview and Rob (Judy) Pickett of Corn Hill; her 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren ; her sister Dorothy Steeves of the Jordan Lifecare Center; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Gladys was predeceased by a great-grandaughter, her brother Talmadge DeMille and her sister Audrey DeMille.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell St., Petitcodiac. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-10pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 2:00pm, all in Armstrong’s Funeral Home. The interment will be held in Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service. A reception will be held in the Elgin Senior Citizens Center following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeview Manor Activity Department would be appreciated by the family.
