Darlene J. Cartwright passed away on October 13, 2014. She was the first child born to Gilbert and Mary Rupp and enjoyed a loving, nurturing childhood along with beloved brother William (Cindy) and sweet baby sister Jeanine (Tom). Her siblings meant the world to her. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Richard, her only child Michelle (Jim) along with her grandson Alex and great grandson Matthew, who were precious to her and brought her great joy. Her sisters in law and brothers in law, along with nieces and nephews, were all very special to her. She was dearly loved by family and hundreds of friends. Her warmth and enthusiasm were felt by everyone whose life she touched. Her infectious laugh was enjoyed by all. She was the epitome of happiness. She was affectionately known by many as Aunt Dar or Aunty Dar. She treasured her 50 year friendship with her best friend Linda that grew to include Linda’s very dear husband Ralph and her lovely sister Becky. Darlene was a valued and highly esteemed member of her congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her passing will leave a major void in the lives of all who loved her. Our gratitude to all who cared for her at her most vulnerable time, thank you.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Middletown, Pa. to handle the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Trauma Center. Condolences can be sent online to www.matinchekanddaughterfuneralhome.com
