Alfrances "Dada" Pitre Martin, 80, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Lincoln Martin Sr.; children, Lincoln J. Martin Jr. (Evelyn), Cornel Martin Sr. (Cynthia), Debra Martin (companion, Billy Plaisance) and Hope Adams (Michael); sister, Norma Pitre Lafont; grandchildren, Tiffany Hymel, Ross Martin, Samantha Martin, Revee Dufrene, Cornel Martin Jr., Graham Martin, and Duncan Martin; great-grandchildren, Kerington, Kaylee, Colston, Stella and baby Dufrene; and sister-in-law, Lucille Gillenwater.She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Pitre Sr. and Mercess Felarise Pitre; brothers, Leedwood Pitre, Roland Pitre Sr. and Thomas Pitre Jr.; and sister, Amay Pitre St. Pierre.Alfrances was a member of the Ladies of LaSalette and the KC Auxiliary. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church.Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
