W. A. Allard Stricken
At Wife's Grave Dies
Wilfred Alfred Allard, 77, 234 Wanoosnoc road, was stricken ill at the grave of his wife in St. Joseph's cemetery yesterday morning and was removed to Burbank Hospital in the municaipal ambulance where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Dr. Charles A. Wheeler, medical examiner, said death was due to a heart attack.
A native of St. Joachin de Chateauguay, P. Q., Canada, he had lived in this city 65 years. He was a retired carpenter and was employed at Fort Devens for several years previous to his retirement 10 years ago.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. William Cloutier, Mrs. Rose Houle, Mrs. Euclide Boulanger, Mrs. Alire Richard and Mrs. Melvin Gammell of this city and Mrs. George May of Townsend; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be from the Lavery Funeral Home tomorrow morning with a high mass of requiem at 9 in St. Francis' Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are this afternoon and evening.

The funeral of Wilfred A. Allard, 254 Wanoosnoc Road, was held from the Lavery Funeral Home with a High Mass of Requiem at St. Francis Church at 9 a.m. Mass was celebrated by Rev. Charles Gendreau of St. Cretha's Church Leominster.
The choir was under the direction of Miss Lucille Caissey.
The burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery where Rev. Romeo Lamothe read the prayers.
Bearers were: Maurice Renaud, Abre Richard, Robert Houle, Ralph L'Ecuyer, Raymond St. Denis and Albert Poitras.
