On Friday, September 28, 1956, Yvonne married Mr. Waldemar “Walter” Karkow
& they were united in marriage for 52years~04months~09days on Walter passing, Thursday, February 05, 2009.
Mrs. Karkow was a lifetime and active member of the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ in Yorkville, IL. She enjoyed sailing, swimming, and playing tennis with her family and friends. She was fond of her grandchildren and loved attending their many sporting events. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Karkow survivors are her,
children, Marylou Karkow, Dr. William (Louaine) Karkow, & Sandra (Tom) Veselka;
fourteen grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren;
brother, Dale (Ethel) Perkins;
as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Karkow was preceded in death by her;
husband, Walter Karkow;
parents, Ira and Lillian Perkins;
step-mother, Vida Perkins;
nieces, Patricia Thomas and Janie Ming.
Mrs. Karkow interment will be private.
