Birmingham News (AL) - Monday, January 3, 2000

DRAKE, JERRY CLIFFORD, age 56, a loving husband, father and grandfather, of Gardendale, AL, died January 1, 2000. Employed with Jefferson County as Director of Roads and Transportation for 32 years. A member of the Masons; Professional Engineer; Chairman of the Metropolitian Planning Organization; Chairman of the Steering Committee for the National Association of County Engineers; Retired Senior Master Sargent of the Alabama Air National Guard; Past President of the Alabama Section of the American Public Works Association. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Gardendale with burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Harris Farmer and Rev. Ray Moore officiating. Visitation will be held at Gardendale Chapel on January 3, 2000 from 5:30 - 8p.m. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Oakwood Memorial Gardendale Chapel directing.
