NAMPA — Gene E. Anson, 63, of Nampa, died Sunday, June 2, 1991, at a Twin Falls Hospital from natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Hendrickson, pastor of the Nampa First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Kuna Cemetery.
Gene E. Anson was born April 11, 1928, at Canton, Okla. He was reared and educated in Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Dolly Owen on Jan. 23, 1952, at Seiling, Okla. In 1955, they moved to Nampa to make their home. Gene worked for Allen Noble Farms in Nampa and Gleans Ferry for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his little dog, Raggs. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 1985.
Gene is survived by a daughter, Teresa Hyde of Twin Falls; two sons, Scott Anson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Sam Anson of Nampa; his mother, Fern Bye of Nampa; a sister, Darlene Towler of Nampa; and a brother, Bill Anson of Caldwell; five grandsons, Rob, Jim Jr., Jamie, Brian, and Jesse. He was also preceded in death by his father, Jutson Anson; and two step-fathers, Harvey Bye and J.N. Chain.
