He was the son of the late Knowlton Jennings Antley and Pauline Capell Antley.
A member of Abner Creek Baptist Church, he was active in his Sunday School Class, served proudly in the National Guard, and was the owner/operator of Antley Farms, one of the largest peach farms in the southeast.
Survivors include two sons, Edward Darrel Antley, Jr. and wife Chasity of Travelers Rest and Aaron Scott Crain and wife Melanie of Irmo; his fiancée and best friend, Nancy Culberson; a brother, Donald Knowlton Antley of Woodruff; two sisters, Joan A. Marshall and husband Curtis of Duncan and Doris A. Hollifield and husband Curtis of Greer; and two granddaughters, Sierra and Meghan Crain.
He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Sydney and Aiden Crain; three brothers, Robert Lewis Antley, Gary Jennings Antley and John Francis Antley.
Graveside services were held 3:30 PM Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Abner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Marshall officiating.
The family received friends from 2-3:00 PM at Abner Creek Baptist Church prior to the service.
