Glenn D. Kasparie, 74, Woodhull, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Woodhull. Burial is in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, with military rites.

Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.

Glenn D. Kasparie was born Jan. 3, 1927, in Galesburg, the son of Bert and Della Kasparie. He married Marjorie Smith March 15, 1947, in Galesburg.

He had worked for the former Cowser and Johnson Construction Co. in Woodhull as a heavy-equipment operator. For 22 years he was Clover Township road commissioner.

He was a past master and member of Woodhull Masonic Lodge 502, AFandAM, a past patron of the former Eastern Star 103, Woodhull, and a member of Rio Eastern Star 313. He was a member of the Woodhull VFW.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the southwest Pacific.

Survivors (and spouses) include his wife, Marjorie, Woodhull; sisters, Naomi (Charles) Jones, Gilson, Ill., Delores Gough, Knoxville, Ill., and Eva Ruth Agans, Galesburg; brothers, Marion (Sarah) Kasparie, Knoxville, and August Kasparie, in Nevada; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.
