GEORGE A. TERHUNE, 90, of Colorado Springs died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was an administrator with the City of Los Angeles before retiring in December 1961.
No services are scheduled. Cremation is planned. Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Terhune was born June 5, 1899, in Harrison, N.J., to James and Anna Terhune. He had lived in Colorado Springs four months and was a former resident of Ventura, Calif., and Los Angeles. Mr. Terhune graduated from the University of Southern California. He served in the Army during World Wars I and II. Mr. Terhune was a member of Masonic Lodge 633 in Ventura, a 32nd degree knight commander and member of the Ventura County Scottish Rite, a member of the Ventura Shrine Club, Malaikah Shrine Temple in Los Angeles, Retired Mens' Club of Ventura and Ventura Fillmore Chapter 79 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a past member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Ventura.
He was married in August 1966 at the Methodist Chapel in Las Vegas, Nev., to Helen Ives, who survives.
Mr. Terhune also is survived by a son, Paul Stevens of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Virginia Beach of Fallbrook, Calif., and Jean Stevens of Petaluma, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
