Leslie Erin Mahaffy, born July 5 1976 was the miracle baby for Dan and Debbie Mahaffy a few short years later Leslie's brother Ryan completed the family.
Friends of Leslie have said how very friendly and vivacious, funny, with a dash of rebelliousness in her like all teen girls get were what made Leslie Special. Leslie was always at the beach, as it was her sanctuary. Laughing and enjoying the cool water with her friends, her friends fondly remember her in this way.
Other pastimes Leslie enjoyed were baking, reading and sharing secrets with her mother. Leslie loved her family with everything she had. There are quite a number of videos of Leslie and her brother Ryan laughing and dancing , you can see the love in her eyes for her baby brother. Friends and family would mention that she wanted to be a Marine Biologist as Dolphins and all water animals fascinated her.
On the last night of Leslie's life she was seen comforting her friends as they were at a wake for a mutual friend who died a few days earlier. Leslie wiped the tears from her friends eyes, smiled her infectious , bright smile and comforted all she could. Leslie understood people and wanted everyone to be happy.
On June 16th 1991 Leslie was taken from this earth, in a poisonous, toxic, evil way. Although Leslie was murdered, Leslie's kindness, vivaciousness, and burning loving spirit will live on forever, something her evil killer can not, will not ever take away from Leslie ever!
Leslie is truly Victorious!
