John Allen Gentry, son of Margaret Nancy Gentry and John Gabriel Hartin. Raised by grandmother Elizabeth Anderson Rhodes Gentry Mathis in Douglas Co., MO. Ran away from home at age 16 to the Indian Nation (OK)and returned to marry Sarah Elizabeth Adams 5 Sep 1892. Moved to Montana, then Oklahoma, then Montana again and in 1917 moved down to Phoenix, AZ. In 1923 they moved to San Fernando, CA where they remained.
