Joe Abbott, 75, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, May 29, 2005. He was a retired power plant engineer for AT&T. He had a degree in mathematics engineering from Seaton Hall. Joe was also an Air Force veteran and was an admirer of Art & Culture and enjoyed traveling, golf, bridge and restoring classic cars.
He is survived by his 28 year companion, Trudy Martin of Sherwood; two sons, John Abbott of St. Louis, MO and James Abbott of Boston, Mass; three daughters, Beverly Staveley of California; Suzanne Abbott and Mary Gillooly both of St. Louis, MO; three adopted children, Robert Starr, Rebecca Starr and Joseph Starr, fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
