SALEM - David (Dave) B. Kenst, 45, of 1288 Benton Road, Salem, died at 4:50 a.m. at the Hospice House of Mahoning Valley with his brother Alan, his wife Mindy, and sister Cheryl Koran, with whom he resided, at his side.

Mr. Kenst was born Jan. 10, 1966, the son of the late Albert and Rose (Helman) Kenst. He was a lifelong resident of Salem and served in the U.S. Navy from 1984-86.

Besides his brother and sister, he is also survived by a brother, Rob Kenst of Salem; his children, Nicole and Zachary Kenst of Salem; and Amber Kenst of Salem; his three grandchildren; and a step-daughter, Christina Reitz, and her children of Sebring.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diana (Kenst) Henderson, of Alabama.

At his request his body was donated for medical research. There will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1120 Village Plaza, Columbiana, OH 44408.
