J. (James) W.(William) Ansley, a confederate veteran and at one time an inmate of the Soldiers' home, died yesterday morning at the Presbyterian hospital, where he had been taken for treatment. Heart trouble was the cause of his death.

Mr. Ansley was 56 years of age and became an inmate of the home shortly after it was opened. The funeral will occur this afternoon probably from the parlors of Hilburn & Poole. The interment will take place at Hollywood.

James was the son of Lemuel Henry Ansley. (His father was born 3/1/1817 in Warren County, Georgia and died 10/11/1864 - prob. Civil War). James was married to Sallie Pernella Hickson about 1878. They had Bertis Parnell Ansley/Upton, a daughter who is also buried at Hollywood. Her husband Thomas Jefferson Upton is buried with her. Their son, James Hickson Ansley, who is also buried at Hollywood and Marvin Raimond Ansley, who is buried at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia.
_______
Located above and behind the mausoleum outside a low wall enclosing the graves of Joseph Medley and J Arthur White. This looks like a pathway to other graves, but is actually the burial plot for six people.
________
One of my many relatives buried at Hollywood.
