In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 41st and Verde in Tacoma or to a charity of your choice. There will be private family services at a later date.

Carol Jayne Washburn Langley told me that the last few years her father was blind, but she took him to play golf and at 96 years old he would hit the ball when she pointed him in the right direction. Another funny story she told me was that he liked to cut his own yard at an anvanced age and as his eyesight deteriorated it became more difficult for him. One day he cut down all the flowers in the yard when he was trying to mow the lawn. He was a man that kept going both in his heart and in his mind. We should all learn from his life.
