She was born May 6, 1929, in Fairchild, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert Holman and Bella Bredeson Holman. She grew up and attended schools in Fairchild, WI. She graduated from Fairchild High school in 1947.
On March 20, 1953, she married Lloyd Junior Winn in Pocatello, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 29, 1961. Lloyd passed away in 1975. After raising her children, she later married Bill Galbrieth in 1989.
She was employed for the LDS church as an office manager until her retirement in 1994.
Lou was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she faithfully served in several auxiliary positions including serving as a faithful volunteer in the Idaho Falls temple.
Lou enjoyed sewing, gardening, singing as she had a beautiful alto voice, and spending time with her grandchildren who were the love of her life.
She is survived by her children: Char (Rod) Tovey of Pocatello, Idaho; Steven (Vera) Winn of Rigby, Idaho; Tammy Pettingill of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Sandy (Scott) Higdon of Herndon, Virginia; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd and husband, Bill; and a son, David Winn.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Idaho Falls LDS 18th Ward Chapel, 1200 Dunbar with Bishop Shaun Orgill officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday, October 24, 2014, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and Saturday at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
