Abbie was the son of Gilbert Louzon (1865-1948) and Josephine [nee Beaune] Louzon later Gagnier (1869-1932). They were originally from Ontario, Canada. When they came to The United States Gilbert changed the spelling of their surname from LAUZON to LOUZON. Gilbert & Josephine divorced and she later married Theodore Gagnier. Abbie had a brother and two sisters who lived to adulthood, Charlie, Dora, and Barbara.

The 1930 US census listed Abbie's marital status as widowed. In June 1932 he married Mabel L. (nee Brancheau) Little. They were divorced in December 1933. Before the date of the 1940 census he had married again to a woman named Harriet. It was she who requested his military grave marker. I did not find a marriage record for this union.

It is difficult to sort out some of the historical records as they often misspelled the surname, Louzon, as L-A-U-Z-O-n, Lo-zo, AND L-o-z-o-n. This problem is compounded by the fact that there was another man, named Abb E. (Abb Emil) Lozon living in the same area, at the same time.

As his military headstone indicates, Abbie served in the U.S. Army during World War I. His death certificate (Wayne, Michigan; State File #286544) lists his last residence as 4266 15th St. Detroit, Michigan. He was employed as an electrician for the John Berg Company. He died at home of acute dilatation of the heart from chronic myocarditis.
