Archie Emil Ellebracht, age 87, passed away on October 18, 2014. He was born in Albert, Texas on February 17, 1927 to Hugo and Ella (Wilke) Ellebracht. Archie moved to California in 1938 to the Bakersfield area. He attended Bakersfield schools and then started his farming career in 1950 with his father Hugo Ellebracht. For the last 20 plus years he was a foreman for L. K. Ranches until his retirement in 2013. Archie is survived by his wife of 64 years Irene Ellebracht of Strathmore; one son Robert Ellebracht and wife Suzette of Bakersfield; one daughter Darlene Jones and husband Mark of Tulare; daughter-in-law Judy Ellebracht of Visalia; eight grandchildren, Robbie (Marla), Sean, Chad, Landon, Kenny (Jessica), Chelsea (Andrew), Meghan, Grant (Trisha) and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Allen Ellebracht. Archie enjoyed spending time with family and hearing stories of the great grandchildren. He also enjoyed car racing and raced jalopies in the 1950's. He loved watching car racing, both Sprint and NASCAR. Visitation will be 12-8 pm, Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 1 pm, Friday, October 24, 2014 at Tulare Church of Christ, 500 N. Blackstone. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery, 17203 Ave. 168, Woodville
