Andrew M. Bloomfield, 27, of Galion, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He died of injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident the afternoon of his wedding.
Andy was born in Bucyrus on July 15, 1987 and was an only child, the son of Sandy Bloomfield. His mother survives him in Mansfield. He married Ruth D. (Clanton) Driskill on October 12, 2014 in Upper Sandusky. Ruth was in the car with her husband that afternoon and she survives him.
Andy lived his life in the area and was a graduate of Wynford High School, Class of 2006. He worked as an Assembler for Newman Technology, Mansfield. Andy felt like he had fulfilled his life's dream when he met and married Ruth. He was proud to be a part of Ruth's life and Ruth his. He was excited to become a step-father and loved his step-son and step-daughters as his own.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his step-son Andrew Driskill, Ashland, his step-daughters Ayvette Knapp and Alivia Knapp, both of Galion.
A Memorial Service honoring the life of Andy Bloomfield will be held at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline, at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2014 with Minister Clarence Russ officiating.
