The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, North Augusta, with the Rev. James K. Glander officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta.
Mrs. Abernathy, a native of Kings Mountain, N.C., had retired from Macy's Department Store as a salesclerk. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Paul H. Abernathy; a son, Larry Abernathy, Clemson; a brother, William Mitchem, Greensboro, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
