Stanley was the bachelor son of the Rev. Charles Fishback and Lutishia Bates Fishback. While living in Winchester, he worked, as a porter, in a barbershop.

He moved to Cincinnati, prior to 1917, and worked, as a lather, in Madisonville, Ohio. Mr. Fishback moved from Cincinnati to Dayton, where he was also employed as a lather. He passed away from the effects of heart disease, complicated by cardiac decompensation.
