She professed her faith in Christ as a young girl and united with the Methodist Church and throughout her long life she held fast to the principles of honesty and uprightness. Her gentle influence left its lasting impression on many persons, and her kindness and consideration for others won her the love of all with whom she came in contact.
She is survived by three daughters, .....illegible..... Vaught, and Mrs. Lena Wheeler, and eight sons, Sherman, Walter, Wallace, Joe, Ben, Sam, Charles, and Roosevelt Vaught. Two daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Wiser, and Mrs. Dora Sewell, preceded her in death a few years. One daughter died in infancy. She is also survived by one brother, Fount Meece, Alcalde.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Pine Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Ridner and the Rev. Lloyd Sewell officiating. Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery."
